The Langston Hughes High School Girls Basketball program is a proud pillar of the South Fulton community, representing excellence, resilience, and unity. The Lady Panthers are built on a tradition that goes far beyond the game, developing young women of strong character who lead with confidence in the classroom, in the community, and on the court.
Rooted in discipline, hard work, and pride, our program has been blessed with outstanding student-athletes who consistently rise to the moment. The Lady Panthers have not only competed at the highest level but have established themselves as one of the most dominant programs in the region. That success has been recognized through four consecutive Region Championships, a State Runner-Up finish, and multiple appearances in the Final Four and Elite Eight.
The legacy of Langston Hughes extends well beyond high school basketball. Our young women have continued their journeys at the collegiate level, earning opportunities to play at respected institutions such as the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson University, Georgia State University, Florida A&M University, Clayton State University, and Alabama State University, among many others.
We take great pride in representing South Fulton and carrying the name of Langston Hughes with honor. Every Lady Panther contributes to a tradition of excellence that inspires the next generation.
